Who’s Supporting our Fight Against Melanoma?

Hello to you all. We hope you are refreshed after the Christmas break and that 2014 has started well. We have recently been hearing from lots of you with the various events and challenges you have been doing and have planned this year, on behalf of the charity.

To inspire you we would like to share these updates with you. From cake baking to selling signed kit to riding across Norway on a Harley Davidson, the fantastic effort and thought is very appreciated and as such we would like to thank each an every one choosing us as their charity of choice.

The supporters of Leeds United Football Club have donated a further £265.00 from the sale of signed merchandise. Thanks to the management team for their continued support.


Rita Mann raised £100.00 from baking and supplying cakes for a Church Concert in Goring. This was in memory of Jane Mann (nee Rudall) who died in October 2010.


A total of £435.00 was received in memory of Peter Nicholls of Blackrod, Bolton who died in November from melanoma.

Sarah Holmes and a group of friends are undertaking a series of athletic challenges during 2014 which include, running, swimming and a sprint distance triathlon. Sarah and co are doing this in memory of her Aunt Pauline. To read her inspirational story and donate please visit


Emma Brookes is raising money in memory of Jonno Harrington who lost his battle with cancer on the 16th December 2013. We are honoured to be chosen at the charity set up in his name. Emma’s target figure is £500: she has already raised £425.00 plus £86.25 Gift Aid. If you want to help her continue this great work please to make a donation.

Alison Jilks is undertaking (in her words) a ‘HUGE personal challenge’ and is running the London Marathon in April 2014. If you wish to inspire her and help her reach her target of £500 contact


Last but not least, Nigel Smith is up for adventure and is taking part in the UK to Nordkapp Harley Ride. He is also feeling generous and is doing the ride for charity, donating to the Myfawny Townsend Melanoma Research Fund. To find out more contact
