Fancy a challenge in 2018?

We are looking for teams or individuals to enter some exciting sporting events

Sporting/Challenge Events

From marathons to mountain treks, your personal challenge can make a big difference to your life and to others

This year we have earmarked some challenges based in Sussex to whet the appetite of our local supporters. Remember though if you can’t see something that whets your appetite or you wish to do something amazing for melanoma, closer to home, please let us know – we’ll try to find it for you.

We would also appreciate your support if you have an individual place in any challenge event and would like to make us your nominated charity.

Everyone who takes part in a challenge event to raise money for the Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund will receive a free challenge pack and plenty of support.

Sunday 25th February

The Brighton Half Marathon

The charity has 10 places for this very popular event, which will take place on Sunday 25th February.

How to register

We can guarantee you a place in next year’s Brighton Half today by emailing Michelle confirming your interest. We will email you a registration form and ask you to return it with a commitment to raise a minimum of £400.

Saturday 5th May

The Mid Sussex East Grinstead 10 Mile

This event takes place on the 5th May from East Grinstead Rugby Club and is a great day out. The charity has 10 places available and will ask if people can raise £200.00 each. Email Michelle for further details.

Sunday 9th September

The Funraisers Dragon Boat Festival

This seriously ‘fun’ event is held each year at Bewl Water in Lamberhurst. We are looking for a team of 17 people to crew a boat; 16 paddlers plus a drummer to take the oars and rise to the challenge. This would suit a local business or group who fancy doing something amazing for a local charity and at the same time getting fit and making some lasting memories. For further event details visit www.funraisers.org.uk.discuss a team entry email Michelle.
