The Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund is a small but passionate charity, dedicated to raising awareness and funding research to help find a cure. We believe that, with help of our loyal and adventurous supporters we can achieve amazing things, and help beat this most deadly form of skin cancer.
As you may know, we love a good challenge here. Inspired by our founder, Harry Townsend’s incredible adventures, we have decided for the first time to raise funds by generating a team of supporters to take part in the Bacchus Half Marathon.
The race takes place on the 14th September 2014 (so you have plenty of time to prepare!) at the Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking. This is however no ordinary running race. Although the challenge is real, the day is focused on having fun, with a post race BBQ, fancy dress out in full force, wine tasting(!) and stunning views, it is an event which will having you smiling – not grimacing!
The perfect event for those who maybe want to dip their toes into running a half marathon or those who want the incentive to get fit whilst giving something to charity. Talking of which…
This event is growing in stature and attracts runners and walkers from all over the world. It has sold out each year, however, if you run for our charity and pledge to raise a minimum of £500 #formelanoma, we will:
Together we can beat melanoma. For good!
